Portfolio Rebalance Feature

This service makes it simple to maintain the investment mix in your retirement savings plan account—even if you don't have the time or interest to actively monitor your plan account.

  • Automatic Rebalance: Simply identify an initial investment allocation, adjust your account to align with this investment mix, and let the service do the rest. On an annual basis, the service automatically rebalances your account to stay consistent with your strategy.
  • Rebalance Notification: This service alerts you by e-mail any time your account's investment mix diverges from your desired allocation. You decide whether to rebalance, and you can take action immediately by clicking on the link in the e-mail message.

For example, if your desired asset allocation is 25% within four funds and you currently have a different asset allocation spread over five funds, previously you would have had to place five exchanges (transactions) to reach your desired allocation. By using the Fidelity NetBenefits Portfolio Rebalance feature, with a push of a button the exchanges will be made for you.

How to Set Up Portfolio Rebalance

Getting started is simple. To see how easily these services can help you stay on top of your retirement plan savings, call the plan's toll-free number 1 800 835 5095 or log on to NetBenefits at www.401k.com. From the NetBenefits home page, click on the "NetApp 401(k) Plan" link. Under "Act" on the tool bar (left side of the screen), select "Change Investments," and then choose "Rebalance." Once you have entered your desired asset allocation weightings, the system saves your information for future direction. If your portfolio allocations change and you want to rebalance, all you need to do is click one button—it's that easy. However, neither asset allocation nor diversification ensures a profit or guarantees against loss.
